The community is welcome to a presentation by Dr. Sylvia Smoller. Dr. Smoller’s father, Aleksander Hafftka, was the only Jew in the Polish government of Independent Poland. Her parents’ lives, and her own, were saved from the Holocaust by Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat, who issued the family transit visa #459, enabling them to escape, through Japan, to the United States.

The community is welcome to this presentation at 6 p.m. Weds., April 9th in Oechsle 224.
