Description: Creating meaningful change in organizations cannot be the responsibility of one person, office, or identity group. This session explores community as a catalyst for advancing equity and inclusion throughout organizations. Participants will examine the power of relationships, collective action, advocacy, and shared responsibility while considering how they can use their own positions to create environments where people have the opportunity to participate, lead, and belong.

Speaker Bio: Cameron Wein (he/him) is an educator, speaker, storyteller, and community builder whose work centers on belonging, leadership, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. He is a professor of Sport Management at Commonwealth University–Bloomsburg and is pursuing his Doctor of Education in Leadership in Coaching and Sport Management. Cam is also the creator of 50 States of Trans Voices, a national storytelling project amplifying transgender experiences across the country. Through his teaching, speaking, and community work, he encourages people to recognize the influence they already have and use it to build communities where others can participate, lead, and belong.
