April is Earth Month here at Lafayette! Sustainability is intertwined into many disciplines, themes, and ideas. During Earth Month, our campus community brings these themes together to showcase the importance of sustainability education and initiatives in recognition of Earth Day.

Earth Month Keynote Address with Alicia Kennedy

Alicia Kennedy is a food and culture writer, tackling topics of food justice, politics and the challenges within our local, national and global food systems. Kennedy's 2023 book, No Meat Required is a bestselling culinary and cultural history of plant-based eating in the United States that delves into the subcultures and politics that have defined alternative food. Join us for a fireside chat with Kennedy and Professor Benjamin Cohen of Environmental Studies as we explore food in our past, present, and future world. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is open to the public.
Skillman Library will be doing a FREE BOOK GIVEAWAY of "No Meat Required" on Wednesday April 2nd starting at 10am. 30 copies are available, first come, first serve at the circulation desk. The book is also available for checkout.

EarthFest

Lafayette College will be hosting our EarthFest celebration in honor of Earth Day on Thursday, April 24th from 12-5pm on the Quad on campus. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Club, department and vendor registration is currently OPEN to participate in this festival in celebration of the planet.
