We provide the soundtrack to the Lafayette experience and make our voice heard by the greater community. You can listen to us 24/7 every day of the year on 104.9 FM in the area.

The mission of the Alternative School Break Club is to empower the Lafayette community to create positive change and foster passion for civic engagement through Alternative Break experiences.

Membership Benefits
Frequency of team meetings will be specified by team leader(s), but will run at least bi-weekly throughout the academic year. These meetings will facilitate team building, trip preparation, cultural education, and post-trip reflection. Attendance at these meetings is required of all team members. Team members are expected to stay involved with their team and ASB-wide initiatives throughout the academic year. This is inclusive of community partner engagement prior and post trip, with reorientation being a primary focus to bringing awareness back to Lafayette's campus.

AIChE's goal is to expose students to the variety of opportunities available to them as chemical engineers. The student chapter of AIChE is an academic and social organization that connects the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (The Department), the professional world of chemical engineering, and students. This goal is achieved by hosting a mix of speakers from industry and academia, trips to regional and national conferences, a symposium, and other social events.

Lafayette ASME is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands on experience in Mechanical Engineering. We provide access to connections in the field, design projects, speakers, and engineering competitions aimed to incite interest and understanding in an otherwise broad field of study. Resources such as portfolio/resume management, summer internship advisement, and foundational knowledge of widely used CAD software will also be provided. Our club seeks to share our love of anime and broaden our fellow students' knowledge of this continually developing aspect of Japanese culture. In doing so, we hope to make Lafayette a more culturally aware and diverse campus, and help the student body become more open-minded and creative both as they learn and after they graduate. More than that, though, we seek to be a welcoming and friendly community to anyone at Lafayette, and allow people to enjoy all that anime and Japanese pop-culture has to offer!

Our club seeks to foster and bring together all who enjoy anime, Japanese pop-culture, video games, and anything in between!

Every semester, all club members recommend shows for the club to watch. Then, out of those, everyone votes on 4 shows to watch during the semester. Mob rules. Each week, we meet weekly to watch one episode of each of the 4 series. Post-show, we talk it out!

We also host special events like movie screenings, either traveling together to local theaters or in our college's own on-campus theater. Additionally, we get together as a club and travel to at least one anime convention each year, such as AnimeNYC in New York.

Starting in fall 2023, we will also feature some new programming, like Japanese cultural events, as well. This may include things like cosplay contests, parties, and more, so stay tuned for any announcements!


Lastly, we're just a group of friends who hang out both in person and online, and you can often find lots of us eating lunch and dinner together. If you're a fan of anime, manga, or even just general videogames, you are absolutely welcome here!

Lafayette's Anthropology & Sociology Club, often acknowledged as the Emile Durkheim Society, is a student-led group that welcomes Anthropology and Sociology majors/minors to commune and get to know the department and each other. We aim to foster conversation, connections, and friendship. Our goal is to provide majors and minors a forum to share perspectives on pressing sociological and anthropological issues and provide resources for those in the community such as thesis ideas, career guidance.
