The mission of the Alternative School Break Club is to empower the Lafayette community to create positive change and foster passion for civic engagement through Alternative Break experiences.

Frequency of team meetings will be specified by team leader(s), but will run at least bi-weekly throughout the academic year. These meetings will facilitate team building, trip preparation, cultural education, and post-trip reflection. Attendance at these meetings is required of all team members. Team members are expected to stay involved with their team and ASB-wide initiatives throughout the academic year. This is inclusive of community partner engagement prior and post trip, with reorientation being a primary focus to bringing awareness back to Lafayette's campus.

Our club seeks to share our love of anime and broaden our fellow students' knowledge of this continually developing aspect of Japanese culture. In doing so, we hope to make Lafayette a more culturally aware and diverse campus, and help the student body become more open-minded and creative both as they learn and after they graduate. More than that, though, we seek to be a welcoming and friendly community to anyone at Lafayette, and allow people to enjoy all that anime and Japanese pop-culture has to offer!

Our club seeks to foster and bring together all who enjoy anime, Japanese pop-culture, video games, and anything in between!

Every semester, all club members recommend shows for the club to watch. Then, out of those, everyone votes on 4 shows to watch during the semester. Mob rules. Each week, we meet weekly to watch one episode of each of the 4 series. Post-show, we talk it out!

We also host special events like movie screenings, either traveling together to local theaters or in our college's own on-campus theater. Additionally, we get together as a club and travel to at least one anime convention each year, such as AnimeNYC in New York.

Starting in fall 2023, we will also feature some new programming, like Japanese cultural events, as well. This may include things like cosplay contests, parties, and more, so stay tuned for any announcements!


Lastly, we're just a group of friends who hang out both in person and online, and you can often find lots of us eating lunch and dinner together. If you're a fan of anime, manga, or even just general videogames, you are absolutely welcome here!

LCET provides students the opportunity to take riding lessons and represent the college in intercollegiate equestrian competitions. All experience levels- from those who have ridden horses their entire lives to those who have never ridden before- are encouraged to join! The purpose of this organization shall be to represent Lafayette College in equestrian competition as a club sports team and to provide a means for Lafayette College students to participate and develop skills in equestrian sports.

This purpose is necessarily twofold. To provide a welcoming team environment for Lafayette College Students and the goal the ability to learn, participate in, and enjoy equestrian sports, and additionally, to compete against the equestrian teams of other colleges and universities, are to be considered equally as important in fulfilling the team's ultimate goals. Each of these components of the team's ultimate purpose are to be reasonably considered and weighed in making all executive decisions of the team.

The Lafayette College Esports Club aims to bring together those of the Lafayette community that want to compete in collegiate esports tournaments. We are the Lafayette Crew Club, a competitive rowing team. We are made up of 60 male and female rowers. We compete in regattas during the fall and spring seasons locally in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We train all year to compete at the Dad Vail Regatta in May, the nation's largest collegiate regatta. In the past two years, we have had three separate boats medal at this regatta. Whether or not you have rowed before, we encourage everyone to try it out!

Mass - the source and summit of our faith. Sundays in Colton Chapel at 5:30pm. We also hold Mass over lunchtime on Holy Days of Obligation throughout the school year.

Weekend intercollegiate retreats each semester to give students a chance to escape the chaos of school and reflect on their faith.

Weekly spirituality group meetings for students to keep in touch with their faith while away at college.

Service activities such as volunteering at soup kitchens, campus days of service, and baking for local shelters.

Social events planned by students that include game nights, baking nights, creamery trips, dinners, and activities after Newman meetings.

Dinners that are open to the entire campus community and often have themes (Halloween costume dinner, Mardi Gras dinner, etc.)

Pottery Club seeks to give ceramic lovers a place to create art using clay. Pottery Club is a social group that will teach students, through videos and live demonstrations, about different styles and techniques that can be used to make ceramic pieces. Pottery Club will enhance students pottery skills through handbuilding, using the pinch pot, coiling, and slab method, as well as introduce and improve students form and technique on the pottery wheel.

We hope to foster student interest in ceramics. The club will serve as a space to release stress and decompress as well as a place to develop the virtues of patience and endurance.

Women in Law is a student-run organization at Lafayette College that aims to guide women interested in pursuing a career in law. In our meetings we educate members of our club on various areas of the law, review the law school application process, and discuss LSAT prep and tips.

When a member joins club lacrosse she can expect to constantly be having fun while playing with a group of girls who all share the love for the game. We encourage team bonding and healthy life choices through the game of lacrosse and the community of girls.

The Women+ in Physics Club is an organization open to all students interested in the advancement of women and other historically underrepresented groups in the field of physics. The mission of our club is twofold: we aim to provide a community for women and other minority groups in physics, and to empower these groups throughout their physics careers at Lafayette and beyond.
